Part-Time Onsite Events Manager

Summary

We’re seeking an experienced, energetic, results-oriented, personable person to manage events.  The primary responsibility for this position is to manage the production of onsite events, coordinating staff, leading set-up and break-down, and overseeing the flow of service.  Hours vary, weekends, early mornings and late evenings may be required.  The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing onsite events, with a passion for delivering exceptional service and strong attention to detail. This role requires excellent communication and leadership skills, as this role involves working directly with clients, guests, vendors, and staff to ensure events run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Coordinate onsite production of events including setup, execution, and teardown, ensuring all details align with client expectations and company standards
  • Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for clients, addressing questions and requests.
  • Manage onsite event staff to ensure high-quality service
  • Coordinate with vendors and event partners to ensure timely production and setup of services.
  • Work with staff, clients and partners to manage event timelines
  • Address any issues or challenges during events, providing immediate solutions to keep things running smoothly

Qualifications and Skills

  • 3+ years of professional experience in catering/food service management, with a proven track record of successful onsite event coordination
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Knowledge of standard event procedures and best practices
  • Ability to lift and move event-related materials (up to 30 lbs) and stand and walk for long periods during events
  • Understanding of food presentation, food service techniques, and food safety protocols
  • Must be self-initiating and be able to work calmly and effectively under pressure with changing priorities
  • Maintain a friendly and approachable attitude with staff, clients, guests, and vendors
  • Must pass a background check and have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
