Kitchen Utility

Summary

The Kitchen Utility assists the culinary team, washing dishes, organizing kitchen supplies, and delivering catering orders.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Wash dishes, assist with food prep, maintain cleanliness by sweeping/mopping, sanitizing surfaces
  • Assist with receiving food/supply deliveries, rotate stock, and restock kitchen storage areas.
  • Transport catering orders to clients and events
  • Help maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Ensure proper storage and labeling of ingredients in compliance with food safety protocols
  • Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Qualifications and Skills

  • Familiarity with commercial kitchen operations
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule including some weekends and early mornings
  • Self-initiating and able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and able to lift and carry 40+lbs


Administrative Assistant

Summary

We’re looking to add an experienced Administrative Assistant to our team. The ideal candidate loves food and working with people to plan events. They are organized and detail-oriented with exceptional communication skills. This position supports the Owner and Executive Chef with managing email and calendars, ordering supplies, and corresponding with clients. Knowledge of food and beverage or hospitality industry is required. Regular hours are Monday – Friday, 9am – 4pm, with the possibility of some weekends, early mornings, and evenings.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Supports owner and executive chef, helping to manage email and daily schedules
  • Coordinates with clients and vendors via phone and email to answer inquiries, schedule events, and update event details
  • Follows up with clients regarding payments and receipts
  • Must be willing to work 9:00am – 4:00pm, Monday – Friday, and occasionally early mornings, weekends and evenings
  • Prepares proposals and event worksheets
  • Prepares food, beverage, and supplies orders
  • Assists with preparing for events including making labels and signage, ordering event supplies, and packing
  • Assists with marketing and social media posts

Qualifications and Skills

  • Excellent organizational skills with strong written and verbal skills, outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Food and beverage and/or hospitality experience required
  • Strong PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and willing to learn other computer software
  • Ability to be flexible with changing priorities
  • Proficient with social media including Buffer, Facebook, Instagram
  • Must have valid driver’s license and be able to lift 25lbs

Part-Time Onsite Events Manager

Summary

We’re seeking an experienced, energetic, results-oriented, personable person to manage events.  The primary responsibility for this position is to manage the production of onsite events, coordinating staff, leading set-up and break-down, and overseeing the flow of service.  Hours vary, weekends, early mornings and late evenings may be required.  The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing onsite events, with a passion for delivering exceptional service and strong attention to detail. This role requires excellent communication and leadership skills, as this role involves working directly with clients, guests, vendors, and staff to ensure events run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Coordinate onsite production of events including setup, execution, and teardown, ensuring all details align with client expectations and company standards
  • Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for clients, addressing questions and requests.
  • Manage onsite event staff to ensure high-quality service
  • Coordinate with vendors and event partners to ensure timely production and setup of services.
  • Work with staff, clients and partners to manage event timelines
  • Address any issues or challenges during events, providing immediate solutions to keep things running smoothly

Qualifications and Skills

  • 3+ years of professional experience in catering/food service management, with a proven track record of successful onsite event coordination
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Knowledge of standard event procedures and best practices
  • Ability to lift and move event-related materials (up to 30 lbs) and stand and walk for long periods during events
  • Understanding of food presentation, food service techniques, and food safety protocols
  • Must be self-initiating and be able to work calmly and effectively under pressure with changing priorities
  • Maintain a friendly and approachable attitude with staff, clients, guests, and vendors
  • Must pass a background check and have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
