I’ve recently started looking into buying a new house. In the process of finding properties “within my budget,” I’ve decided that I’m going to have to go “Property Brothers” on a fixer upper (Property Brothers is my favorite HGTV show, in which 2 brothers re-do an entire house and save a family thousands of dollars… watch the show once, and you’ll be hooked!). After discovering this, I hit another road-block. I don’t even know where to begin to find someone that can re-do a whole house, read my mind, give me exactly what I want, and treat me like a princess. I was stuck. It dawned on me that most brides are in the same boat. There are countless “tips and tricks” and SO many vendors that it becomes totally overwhelming and paralyzing.

Here are a few of my favorite resources, that if I weren’t in the wedding catering business, I would know NOTHING about.

StudioWed Nashville: http://studiowednashville.com/nashvilleblog/

As a member of StudioWedNashville, Menu Maker Catering has access to the top wedding vendors in the area. We know these vendors personally, and they have a great studio space to showcase different wedding ideas. It is a centrally located hub of wedding-goodness. It is definitely worth a visit! Here is a link and a blurb from their website about this awesome place:

“StudioWed Nashville is an exclusive collection of Nashville’s finest wedding professionals, available to you in a fun and modern studio. Our vendors include photographers to venues to wedding cakes to florists and everything in between that you could need to plan your Nashville wedding. We invite both Nashville brides and brides whose wedding destination is Nashville to come in and enjoy the relaxation and ease that planning your wedding should be!”

Check. It. Out. And here’s another….

Weddingwire.com: http://www.weddingwire.com/

Weddingwire is a great resource that is an online database for wedding vendors. Its like the wedding version of Yelp. There are reviews, ratings, pictures, etc. You name it, and you can find it! Need an automated check list? Check! Need to keep track of your registry? Check! Need to read MenuMaker’s awesome reviews? Check! Its an online bridal show, and the best part about it is that its just a click away!

These are just two of many resources available in helping plan your wedding. Hopefully they can help to ease the stress and frustration of being bombarded with too many ideas! Menu Maker Catering is involved in several more organizations that offer a wealth of knowledge and expertise. For more tips, please call or email me at [email protected] or (615) 791-9779.

Now… if only I knew one of the Property Brothers…

Happy Friday!
